What if the BB this season IS a shapeshifter and materializes as every single big bad in Buffy history throughout the season!! And the THINK they kill it over and over and over, until the final eps we discover its Ethan Rayne behind it, or the Watchers Council (another test) or WILLOW!!!!!! Wow. hahahahaha, hmmmm - I'm just so full of shit. I think I'll just wait to see what happens, when it happens on the show. :-)

Though I'm sure that's not surprising, considering my mermaid/hellgoddess antics here and on other boards.

Shapeshifters are used in a lot of different cultures to teach characters lessons, like the Coyote in Native American legends, Loki from the norse legends, and the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend. Sometimes they seem bad when they're really good, or vice versa. A lot of the time they are neither bad nor good, instead representing the 'differrent shades of gray" philosophy I love so much!

yes, Phae, can you tell I had a good time at my class last night! :)
