This is definitely Von's board. I also saw the VON freshmen this summer and I didn't see anyone that was impressive. Even that kid Shante or Shonte was very poor for her size. I scouted for some teams this summer and this is my report on her. She has good hands but very poor footwork, no jumper, no ball handling skills, and no post moves. She is about five years behind the girls her age that played in the Bulls Academy or the IBA or any of the organized AAU developmental programs.

Also,
I've followed Purdue very and I was unaware that some kid named Terri was offered a scholarship even before starting high school. That statement is absurd!!! Keep Dreaming!!!

Sure you right. If Shonte is one of the 3 or 4 best incoming freshmen posts, the state of girls basketball in Chicago is worst than I observed and my reports need to be updated to reflect the poor state of girls BB in Chicago. The report on Shonte was not just my report, it was a consensus among many that I spoke with who saw her this summer, primarily at the Summer Jam and the USJN summer final. She should have stayed at Clark and participated in the IB program, gono to college, get a valid education, and don't count on making it in basketball. Here is the difference between inner city kids like Shonte, and kids who are used to more stability. Lots of parents would have never let their kids leave a valid college prep school and chase a BB dream. It appears that most of the posts on this board are from inner city kids who:

1. Don't understand the game of BB
2. Are weak fundamentally in BB
3. Haven't seen skilled kids play because the skilled kids are not playing on the inner city playgrounds.

Are willing to foregoe a very good education and chase a dream. I hope Adidas, Nike, and Reebok can afford to sned all of you through college and hire you as basketball experts afterwards. So keep buying the shoes!!!

Shonte' Clay needs some work but she is already projected as a DI prospect and easily is one of the two or 3 best incoming freshmen post in the city.

La'Terria Taylor was offered a scholarship to Purdue this past summer. The statement is not aburd and there is no reason to keep dreaming because it is the truth.
