it was before the end of the Cold War. Reagan's time. And we heard a lot of things. One, that the Soviets were funding terror groups in West Germany. The Baader-Meinhof
gang aka The Red Army Faction were a terror group that had several cells. After Reagan bombed Libya, we had to check our cars for tampering.
We still went to church. Not a few times, at church, the Germans were watching our cars for us..the LDS servicepeople. We didn't ask them, they just did it.
Why I will never know. But it leads me to think that
this is setting the stage for the final battle between good and evil...since the one safeguard we had as a nation has been taken away.
