Subject: That movie thread--oh, my!

I'm pleased no eyes have been poked out so far, no blood shed that can't be mopped up in the next go-round. But talk about an eyeball roller!

Responding about Bee's twice-tendered "Savior" remark:

Would I take your Savior to any movie I see in the theaters/theatres or view at home? My answer: a resounding, "YES!"

I have viewed and will no doubt continue viewing numbers of R-rated movies. Sometimes I rent a video and kabosh it after 15-minutes' worth for the boring or ugly factor (G, PG-13 or R--I take no prisoners of ratings). In truth, I'm more likely to eject (or reject) something for its boring or dorky factor than for any language or intimacy content.

If Jesus was in fact a simple carpenter among people, I can't imagine a thing on film that would surprise him. If Jesus Lives and is Savior, I allow myself the assurance that He knows my heart full well. In either circumstance, I'd feel it heck-a fun and a blessing to have [h]im sit through a movie with me.

Further, my heart reads that we'd critique the films in similar fashion. Anyplace we differed would be inconsequential in the great scheme of things. Because my Personal Jesus is introspective, a learner, a quiet teacher and (last but not least) He laughs with me.

Deb

Peace
