I do like meat though.
Homemade roast beef roast is my favorit.
But since we dont have a lot of $ I only make it a few times a yr. I like pork chops baked in cream of mushroom soup and choped onions. But again only a time or two a yr...along with turkey..only about twice a yr.
I make lots of soups and casseroles with a bit of meat.
We only have a LOT of meat at a meal about once a month.
The rest of the time just a little.
Meat cost more then other things.

You cant have beans on Atkins unless they are green beans or wax beans...dry beans are really good and really cheap and full of good things.
You cant have carrots. No sweet potatoes or regular potatoes.
I dont remember the list anymore but the list of fruits and veggies you cant have is big.
I can understand if one has a serious health problem where those kinds of food will hurt them and they have to have more protein type foods....like even though wheat is for the use of man there are some people who are allergic to it and cant have it.

I would like to hear some thoughts from some on how they stayed on Atkins and the Word of Wisdom...it would be interesting to see what their diet was.
