I agree with that as well. NO licensing and NO mandatory insurance. I think having insurance makes people more daring and careless. I was without insurance for about a month and I was never more careful and courteous on the road. Even now that I have it, the carefulness has rubbed off on me permanently. Not to mention, in July, I witness my cousin get run over and killed by a driver going WAY too fast...

Anyways, I have to wonder about drunk/stoned driving... I often have to doubt statistics and such. I'm not doubting that alcohol and drugs inpairs driving. In fact, its quite obvious. LOL. But, there are PLENTY of HORRIBLE drivers that get into accidents and kill people because of carelessness who are dead sober... just inconsiderate jerks.

As far as the state making laws to protect people from drunk drivers, I'm not sure what I would do or favor. I'll have to keep thinking about that. But I definitely agree with not having mandatory insurance and not having licensing. ( I'll bet a higher percentage of licensed drivers are in accidents and get tickets than unlicensed drivers... and like I said, all of the horrible drivers I see are licensed, sober, and driving expensive SUV's, Lexus, BMW, Acura, or Cadillacs.
