I couldn't get the Belgium article to come up, there were no links for the Swedish and Dutch, so just read the one on Britain. But I've never denied that there are lots of wackos. We have plenty of home-grown wackos. We've had extremists and nutcases since the dawn of time. But D&C 134 tells us that the govt exists to hold inviolate and secure for each person the free excercize of conscience. 11th AoF and all that. Let them think whatever, however they like.

The only thing that I'm worried about is what they DO, not what they think. And the only time they DO something bad is when a country meddles--Britain, Spain, US, etc.

Blame? Hmmmm....the terrorists are fully 100% responsible for the mayhem and murder. But at the same time, when someone keeps poking a stick into a hornet's nest, while they have every right to swat the hornets, don't you think at some time it might be smart to quite poking the hornets?

And yes, it's very possible to stay out of other's squabbles. Most of the nations of the earth have managed to stay out of the Middle-East conflict. While the world is more "interconnected" and the actions of one may have an effect on others, the best way to change things is to follow D&C 121--by kindness, gentle persuasion, love unfeigned, etc etc and when we excersize control, dominion or compulsion over others (like war? military manipulation? economic coercion?) in ANY degree the Lord is grieved.

You're right, the gospel has the answer and it begins with US.
