I think this whole sexual harassment thing is such a crock--it is so misused and destroys the lives and reputations of good men.

Ex: A couple years ago dh was discussing politics at work(as usual) and said women shouldn't get equal pay if they can't do the work. (The example he used is we had to call an ambulance for dh--he'd hurt his back so badly he couldn't move. He's a big guy (6'2" and 260-275 lbs) and there was no way I could get him to the hospital by myself. So we called an ambulance--a man and a woman came. We had a wierd set of front doors/front porch that required some pretty adept manuevering. Well, the poor young woman--smaller than I am--couldn't do it so they had to call a second ambulance. It still only took two people to get dh out of the house, but it was two MEN, strong, able men. Then, get this, they sent us a bill for TWO ambulance calls!!! I protested--they said well your dh was just too big for one ambulance team. I said NO--he was too big for your wimpy woman. The two men handled it just fine. We still had to pay. Grrrrr...)

Anyway, a couple of the women thought dh was being very sexist, expecting women to do the same work if they're getting the same pay. Later--that day or week, I don't recall--one of the women asked dh to clear a machine jam for her, she couldn't do it. So he teased her "So you need a man to do your job for you?" Oh boy! She just went ballistic! She said if he EVER said anything like that again she would file sexual harassment charges against him.

Jeeesh! What an abuse of the term! And yet she could have truly ruined us financially and jobwise if she'd made the claim. The men are totally defensless when a woman starts swinging that claim around like a sledge hammer.
