I think another one of my points for opening immigration involves using the chistian-judeo folk as a weapon. There's one thing you can count on, if the christian community sees something they don't like, they'll speak their minds. I'm thinking ( and I could possibly be wrong here... ) that if the number of people from other cultures and religions rose in the US, the number of people of American culture and american values will rise and stand up as well. I think that an increase in, let's say, muslim culture, would in turn increase Christian culture.

Even if that wouldn't work, the country would become corrupted with or without them, and in the end, if they are here, they will merely be along for the ride.

Opening our borders and allowing anyone to enter would cerainly drive the leaders of the immigrant countries to follow more in our example to keep their citizens from leaving! The way it is now, by shutting our borders ( or restricting it to 'the acceptables' ) we are merely supporting the ruthless leaders of some of these countries. Look at it with drugs... drugs are illegal here, so drug/war lords in africa are fully funded by selling illegal drugs in the US! We are inadvertently ( or, perhaps purposely ) fueling the murder of millions of people.

Instead of closing the borders and trying to find a cure for evil nations, open them up and give these countries some reasons to change their ways. Instead of banning drugs THEN trying to find an answer to the wars in africa, just illiminate the issue... illiminate the question... and make them taste the blood.
