Subject: is abortion about politics--Roe versus Wade

I was travelling with my family recently and went through a town where a group of pro-life people were holding up signs which had pictures of babies who had been destroyed, through abortion.

I was disturbed. I worried about the children who were with me (not all were with me)--would they understand?

I saw a young woman about the same age as one of my own; she was modestly dressed. She was completely unashamed as she held that picture. And I had a sudden rush of admiration for her. Old men, young women, all with pictures of babies who had been killed.

It was horrible, and tears came to my eyes; did I say that already?

There were pictures of Hitler's holocaust; then there was a sign of Planned Parenthood's holocaust, showing them side by side.

I was moved. I silently cheered them. I wondered if they are right. Then I thought, "why not?"

The last sign was, "Make abortion illegal."

Now, I remember when Roe versus Wade was controversial; I was alive during that time, and it was important to me. I think it is wrong. But, how do we get rid of it? And, can we? Should we?
Can we be against abortion without more laws? In my heart I wish it had never become "law". Yet, I doubt anything but Heavenly intervention (extremely Heavenly) could erase it.
Any responses?

Oh, and to add fuel to the fire, where did I see pictures of terribly deformed babies in nations where we (U.S.) have meddled with chemicals? Very sad. Anyone else know what I mean? I can't seem to remember where I saw these pictures, but apparently there are things going on of which the general public isn't aware.
And, one sign also said: "Homeland security? There are those left behind."

anyway (dot, dot, dot)
