... but you understood what I was after. The GA:s are U.S. citizens and have as such U.S. allegiances while members that are not should have other allegiances, and very often does.

It's also true that until the Chinese Empire grows more influential, "we are all US citizens" in the sense that we are all affected by what happens in Washington. We who doesn't live within US national borders are somewhat cushioned from those effects in some ways, like our health-care doesn't deteriorate as fast, etc. But then we cannot vote in the US either. (You get to hear that US health care is the best in the world... What a wonderfully Orwellian lie! :) Have you read George Orwell's "1984"? If not, do so. It is truly an eye-opener....)
