I am here and all is well. The flight went just fine. I was a bit worried because there was a big typhoon over the China Sea that we had to fly through. Other than 20 min of turbulence the flight was smooth and easy. I guess we were able to climb over the bad stuff. When I saw the sattelite photos in Japan I thought it was going to be worse than the terrible time I had on the last flight.

After leaving record setting drought conditions in AZ I'm really enjoying the cool evening rains in Thailand. It's about 90 in the day and 80 at night with about 75% humidity. Not paradise, but a hell of a lot better than the brutal AZ summer.

Those damn corporate bastards have screwed the dollar. It's trading at an all time low from the previous 2 years. The financial news I'm getting blames most of it on the shake up with American business practices, primarily unethical accounting, which is hurting investor confidence and therefore hurting the dollar. The Thai baht has gone from 44.5 to 40.5 to the dollar. Not a huge jump, but it adds up, especially since I buy a meal for around 20 baht. If this trend continues then I'm going to have to revise my budget.

Jeff, good luck on all those dates. Did you win the lotto or do you take your dates out for dinner to McDonalds? Be careful how you present that radio Man talk show. If you don't make it clear many might tune in expecting something like The Man Show on Comedy Central. But then, that could be good too.

Curt, what are you doing these days? Is it all work and no play, or do you have something fun keeping you occupied?

Ken, I'm still looking for Xanadu II. My guess is that it's not far from Phi Mai, perhaps even underneath it, the stately dome capping magnificent caverns. But then that would throw the whole time frame off from Kublai Khan's decree. In my Valkusian bio notes I had Anton's father and older brother going off to explore Khmer ruins around Angkor Wat. Anton's brother was killed in a tiger trap. Was it an accident or did he find something that should remain hidden? Hmmm.

I'll check in again soon. Take care, everyone.
