As you can see, the board has emoticons. There are other design and layout options, so let me know what you would like to see and I'll try to figure it out.

Is there a way to see more than one message at a time?

I had it set to "compact" before. This setting is called "medium." There is also a "verbose" setting which shows ever single message and reply, but frankly, I find it hard to read. If anyone thinks that's a good idea, let me know and I will change it.

This board has a "Confirm Message" function I can institute if you all like. After submitting the message, it gives you a chance to make corrections before posting. What say you all?

Also, we can post our pictures along with our messages, but it will be more cumbersome. I can set the Author field to permit html, and then you can enter any IMG SRC tag you want. A message confirmation function would be pretty handy under those circumstances.

This doesn't slow the posting process, by the way. The board already goes to a "This is what you did" page after you have posted. With confirmation, it will go to a "This is what you're about to do, are you sure?" page.

I vote yes for the message confirmation button, but no for the pictures (really needless in my opinion). Hey, who are you guys again? Is Jeff the one with the mustache and is Ken the bald one? I forget.

Kent, or am I Kent? Don't listen to him! I say we be allowed to place pics of us or of our alter egos. Hell, John's rarely on here unless a fight breaks out. I say those who monopolize the site should get the authority to make the calls. I want pics, and flowers and cute bunnies and Thomas Train and Mr Moose and lots of ping pong balls!

Gentleman, please! It's a floorwax AND a dessert topping. The message confirmation is a Go, and you can place html tags in the subject and name fields if you want. If you don't want to, you don't have to. But PLEASE! Don't link to other pages as it is a security risk. This includes graphics and other content. If you want to put a picture next to your name, or use some whacked-out sicko emoticon, the image file so referenced should be on one of our pages. Anything else will cause this url to appear on someone's weblogs and our privacy will be compromised.

Also, please don't link to some monster graphic, as it will wreak havoc with this page's table-based layout. Also, you will slow the load time unnecessarily even if you resize with height and width properties. I will start getting very testy if I see anything bigger than 100 pixels in either direction, mainly because the page could become an unreadable pile of shit if this gets overdone. Agreed?

Jeff, if you are still whimpering in a corner at the prospect of using an ftp utility to upload your proposed graphics, send them to me and I will upload them to my Earthlink space. If you're not clear on the html to do this, just ask. By the way, I have recently changed ftp apps and I am in love with the new one. It's called ACE FTP, it is extremely moron-resistant, and you can download it free at visicommedia.com or c-net. Get off your ass and DEE-OH it!

This picture is 36x56. After looking at it, I think anything bigger than this should be officially forbidden.
