What are your goals? How much training or back office help do you need? Are you an accountant or registered representative? I have my bias (I'm affiliated with New York Life) but you need to buddy up with an organization that will help you achieve the goals you have for your practice in the most efficient manner. Write down what you want, and come up with some questions you should ask of each company you put on your short list. To me corporate culture was paramount. I chose New York Life over another (quiet)large mutual because of that very reason (along with a more lucrative contract). You may have different objectives than myself, so do some soul searching and good luck.
