 I know that cresteds are harder to potty train. I have had my little guy for three months and he just isn't getting it. He will have a bowel movement outside and within two minutes of coming inside, he does it again. We have been trying to crate train him - he doesn't make a sound or dig when he is in there - but he will urinate and then lay in it. It doesn't seem to bother him. We do not punish him when he goes inside - we give him lots of praise when he does go outside.

I heard through the grapevine that the breeder I got him from is known to keep them kenneled so long that they have no choice but to go in the kennel. When I went to look at him, there were cresteds everywhere and they were urinating all over - she even had to pick up four different bowel movements in the hour I was there. She has been turned into the state and they are investigating.

I love this guy to death....any advice? He also cowers when we reach for him. We have never raised our voices to him nor have we ever done anything but love on him.
