Other than some saying it is a bit drying to the skin (although not near as drying as other products such as Malaseb, Pyoban, etc)., I've heard nothing but great things about Keratolux and I still have it in my repetoire of shampoos (I swear, my dogs have more hair/skin care products than I do).

Two other products I've recently been using are Malacetic shampoo & conditioning spray, and my Zymox shampoo & rinse. I have been battling a staph infection with my youngest HL girl, and I am SOOO impressed with the Zymox. Not only does it dry out the sores overnite, but the rinse leaves a protective layer on the skin (and it smells fantastic...most medicated shampoos don't). I've not yet used the Malacetic enough to say I love it like I do the Zymox, but will keep you informed. But, keep in mind that I'm not battling the pearly cysts with any of my HL kids, merely blackheads and acne in relatively young dogs.
