I have a spot on the floor with all the gifts I bought for Xmas & wrapping paper. Since Suzi never chewed on anything before, I never gave this a second thought. I've left plenty of things on the floor before & she has never touched anything, ever.

The first incident, the bag had 3 outfits & a package of tiny socks for a baby for Xmas. She chewed a hole in the plastic bag & took out the package of socks. She chewed a hole in the package & took a sock out. I found it a couple of feet away from the package. She didn't chew it or do anything else that day.

The next incident was absolute carelessness on my part. I work nights & came home with a Xmas coffee cup fill with a cellophane bag of miniature chocolates that a co-worker gave me. I was so tired when I got home that I dropped the bag on my Xmas gift pile on the floor, took Suzi for a walk & then went to sleep. I had to go to work again that night. I completely forgot about the chocolates. When I got home the next morning, Suzi had pulled the cellophane with the chocolates out of the cup. She actually left the cup in the plastic bag. LOL!!

This is the part that amazes me. She only chewed up the cellophane wrapping, but didn't eat anything. Thank God. All the chocolate was still wrapped tightly. Every piece. I really can't figure out why she did this. She could have eaten the chocolate so easily but didn't touch it at all.

She has so many chew toys & bones all over the house. She wants for nothing. I am going to take her to the doctor. Maybe she has a vitamin deficiency or something. I'm so concerned about her.

I have removed the rest of the gifts off the floor. LOL!

Oh, by the way, she has chewed up a few pieces of paper over the years, not many, & I always thought it was just a spite thing for going to work. Thanks for the info on that.

Thank you for responding.
