Amy, what a funny story. My Crest, Spanky does the same thing! I have had Spanky for 2+ years and I also notice that when he gets dry food, he tends to hide it. Crest's are known to have issues with their teeth. Spanky only has about half of his teeth, so I have gone to only wet food for him. Sometimes, he will try to hide pieces of the wet food. I think he does this when he gets full. I also watch him when I feed him so I don't find any surprises in my blankets! Even though Crest's are so unlike other dogs, I guess hiding food (like a bone, etc.) is a very "doggie" thing to do!
