Im very concerned about my 8 month old mixed pup-npt sure what breed he really is. I have been seeing my regular vet & she has been treating him for mites & has prescribed Anti-Histamine/Steroid Combination Temaril. He has had a skin biopsy & they found nothing. She said if this 3rd round of antibiotics does not work-he may have a behavioral problem of some sort & bites himself -a nervous habit???
We are on the 4 th day of meds but no change he has worn a cone on his head but he manages to maneuver himself out of it. I have wrapped & tapped his legs but he manages to get all that off as well-Im not sure what to do-do you have any advise or have you heard of such a situation?? It is strictly on his legs where he nibbles on himself causing blood to ouze. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
