 Well, sadly you have little recourse really. It sounds to me as though you fell in with a breeder who not what is considered to be an ethical, reputable breeder. If he/she was, he/she'd take the dog back - no questions asked. I am curious as to where the dog came from (state) as a fellow rescue friend of mine recently took in a CC w/demodex from a breeder who didn't want to pay for the treatment.

What kind of health guarantee did you get with the pup? Only you can make the determination as to whether you should keep her or send her back. I can tell you that if it were me, there'd be no way I'd send the dog back to her, and chock the loss of $$$ to a huge learning lesson. Sadly, there are more unethical breeders out there than reputable.
