Subject: Vivante XL Battery

I purchased the XL in March. I noticed that ASE is having a sale on batteries. Does anyone know if I buy and extra battery now if it will last until I need to replace the old one in a year or so. If so, what's the best way to store it? Can they be frozen or suspended in some other way...maybe that was a stupid question. But it seems silly to buy a new battery that I may not need for 12 months and find that it won't hold a charge any better than the "old" battery.

Thanks for your input!
