You can see the CMOS battery if you look inside the modular CD-ROM bay. It is located to the rear of the two plug-in connectors. Good luck reaching in through the bay- it's a long way in there. Perhaps some long forceps or a hemostat will help. It can be reached if you remove the keyboard and then remove the thin aluminum cover that's held in by Phillips-head screws. WARNING: Unplug the AC adapter and REMOVE THE BATTERY FIRST!!! (See my posting on replacing the motherboard.) Email me if you have any questions.
