You can remove the CD-ROM drive by pressing the latch (on the bottom of the drive) and pulling the drive out of the bay. It may take a pit of a pull-and-wiggle, at first, because a plug on the inside has to pull loose. Then slide the floppy-disk drive into the bay that the CD-ROM came from, being careful that it's right-side up. The floppy drive and the CD-ROM are designed to fit and operate in the same bay.
