Subject: Vibrant LS.. Power Supply Connection/USB Problem?

I bought a Vibrant LS in April of last year. This means, it is still under warrenty (whatever that means to this company who assumed the warrenties). I have two problems.

One is the power supply connection to the computer doesn't appear to be good. I have problems keeping my battery charging (granted, my battery doesn't hold a charge... I ordered new ones, I hope they arrive soon). Since my battery doesn't hold much charge, when the connection loosens between the power supply and the computer, it shuts my system down. I can fiddle with the connection and eventually find a place that it will hold a reasonable connection with, but, this is a pain and I don't see why I should have to deal with this. I wonder if this is a problem that is easily corrected, or if it would be better to send it back and have it fixed under the warrenty.

Problem 2. I bought a Sony Spressa CD-RW and it worked initially, but the second time I tried to use it, it wasn't recognized by the computer. I talked to the Sony people and we tried everything and deemed it a problem with the drive. I wonder if that is really the case, or if it was a compatibility problem with the computer? Any ideas?
