Hello Peter,

I`m not sure you will know me, but myself, my brother and sister.where all at the orphanage.I`m 69 this year, so must have been there when you were. I can not quite remember the date I left there, but the orphanage was closing down, and all the children that were left, had to go to schools where they lived.I was from liverpool. My sisters name is alice, she is 75 now,my brother was george, Sadly he died in his forties, he had very bad arthritis.
I didn`t like going to the day schools, so when we were asked if we would like to go to a boreding school in Berkshire, george and i said yes. It was called "The Royal Merchant navy school" It was such a nice school, much better than the other one, I was there untill I was 16, then I left to go to work. I`ve been looking for a Ronnie Towers, who also emigrated to adelade about 1955/6. we wrote for a while then lost touch. Do you remember a Jean and sylvia Black, they all went to the ophanage and decided to go to Berkshire also. I think we had all been too used to being away from home, for us to go to the day schools.
Any way It was nice to read your message to another of your friends, and I have kept your email address, hope thats alright to do. My email address is tmorrey@bigpond.net.au we live in Perth western australia.

Cheers Joan.
