You want to use thetrainline.com and book a Super Advance (Apex probably run out) - cost was £26. I'd be more bothered about how much money and time your wasting going to the game. Last night was about the biggest shambles ever. (cont'd) -- Jez, 11:53:28 04/04/01 Wed

I'm sure she'll be grateful to see you take the masterful line ;-) You know you wanna!!! Can you let us know what the plans are 'cos I am game for a Leo Sayer if feasible, what about the other fringe London Jacks - SLJ, that student (Karl ?), your mate Millwall Jack Tickle ? Any more for any more 'cos we were outnumbered by Basseys last time and I can imagine them taunting us for the fact this time also. Are we sure that Evergreens are definitely showing the match ??? -- Jez, 08:43:08 23/03/01 Fri

So you have a handfull of idiots who turn up for the bigger matches and pretend to me UVF/UFF supporters - Its up to the ordinary supporters to get rid of them if they start chanting Loyalist stuff Just chant Swansea/Wales etc louder you have to stand up to them - Best wishes -- Denzil, 23:49:22 19/03/01 Mon

Well, I have seen lots of people on this board (not regulars) slagging off Cardifff for being "Somalis" and making racist comments about Sam Hammam etc,..is it something in the water in Swansea bay? I have always found the west and the valleys rather less integrated/tolerant and rather more ignorant than the fair capital. The casual, off the cuff racist stuff fosters an environment that the BNP etc can thrive in... think about it. Better still, stand up to these idiots. -- The Cap'n, 09:29:44 20/03/01 Tue
Eh? If we had a problem with sections of our crowd displaying allegience to a hate-group which targetted gypsies you might have a point. Do you disagree that West of Cardiff and in the Valleys there is more hostility towards people of non caucasian extract? Cardiff ARE holier than Swansea on this one, we have an integrated, multi cultural city and everyone gets on with it for the most part, whereas racist attacks are hardly a thing of the past in Swansea...(continued in body) -- CB, 12:29:13 20/03/01 Tue
Let's get a few things straight - yes, there is a problem but don't go blowing it out of proportion. What's all this guff about racist attacks not being a thing of the past in Swansea. Racist attacks are not a thing of the past but you are out of line implying that Swansea is some sort of Nazi den where a member of any ethnic minority need not feel relatively safe to walk the streets. Also, things ARE being done about it (cont'd) -- Jez, 13:17:03 20/03/01 Tue
All very true. Maybe Swindon was the spur everyone needed and will act so as to remove the bigots from our ranks. The sooner the better IMO. -- SHB, 13:44:09 20/03/01 Tue
Oh and I should have added that things are most definately being done about this amongst the various SCFC supporters branches, both off- and on-line as some will be aware. -- SHB, 13:46:28 20/03/01 Tue
There was an asian shopkeeper killed only last year in Swansea, motive being his race not cash or what have you, I seem to remember. I was asking if there was "tacit approval" not claimng that this was the case. Do you disagree that Swansea and/or the Valleys is/are less culturally/racially integrated than Cardiff? -- CB, 14:25:25 20/03/01 Tue
Ahem, quite. To the casual observer they could be forgiven for believing that while Kairdiff is this babylon where everyone gets on with everyone else regardless of race, nationality and orientation. Utter garbage - a bassey colleague who is also a seezie holder in Ninnies Park straight-out laughed when he read this. Your lot have a problem with this as well, but that's not the issue on this site anyways. (see inside) -- SHB, 13:17:30 20/03/01 Tue
I am not saying Cardiff is a wonderful place with no problems, you will notice I said "people get on with it for the most part", I stand by my statement that Cardiff is more racially/culturally integrated than the West and the Valleys, something I notice nobody has tried to deny. I am glad to hear Swansea is doing something to rid itself of the BNP at your games, but tell me, why do they seek support among the Swansea crowd and not the Cardiff crowd? -- CB, 14:20:57 20/03/01 Tue
I don't know that they haven't. Do you? As for this tolerance/integrated thing - the two are seperate things entirely. More integrated in the east? Quite possibly. More tolerant? Doubtful. While being sure it exists, I can't remember seeing or for that matter reading any reports of racially-motivated crimes in Swansea. As for the Valleys - christ knows - and I have no intention of finding out, tho I'm sure Jez would know ;-) (cont inside) -- SHB, 16:20:36 20/03/01 Tue
Agree with you on the Cockney bit. I live in Tower Hamlets which has a high Bengali population but there is no integration between bengalis/whites. Look at the schools as an example. The myth of cockneys getting on wiv everyone is a load of bolux -- Tickle my Top, 16:32:25 20/03/01 Tue
Integration implies tolerance. I'm not talking about ethnic presence within a community but ethnic integration, i.e. being PART of the community and not a persecuted minority, capiche? BTW, I know you , Jez, AJ etc are sensible chaps and deplore the BNP nobs, don't think I was trying to imply you personally are racist... -- CB, 16:35:16 20/03/01 Tue
Members of the ethnic minorities are VERY rare in the valleys I would say but where they exist, they are generally very well integrated ! I have a friend whose family are originally from the Seychelles yet he's as typical a Valleyboy as anyone ! Friends of mine from school in Aberdare were chummy with the guys that ran the curry-house in the high street. Generally, any intolerance usually stems from ignorance, never having met anybody of a different race !! (cont'd) -- Jez, 17:12:29 20/03/01 Tue

Neef Blue? Bit like saying Ely Jacks aint it? Maybe you are tho - the education must be a bit sh!t if you think there is a hyphen between no and way - Cefn Saeson is it? -- SHB, 16:24:39 15/03/01 Thu

Missing my point somewhat. There's probably as many Ely Jacks as Neef blues. Funnily enough I know a couple. -- SHB, 17:29:33 16/03/01 Fri

AW DIDDUMS!!! No bloody excuse - I've taken sickies for the cause before now. BTW What's been you're excuse for the rest of the season anyways - I'm sure you could have found one game to watch away from home this season! ;-) -- SHB, 17:52:49 14/03/01 Wed

Saturday -- SHB, 10:30:43 12/03/01 Mon
Knocked out by your scintillating wit ! Tw*t ! -- Jez, 08:20:36 12/03/01 Mon
Big game on Saturday. Bit early to call it sh!t-or-bust but it's the sort of game we have to win (espec after last Tuesday). If we do win, it sets up the mother of all 6-pointers at Swindon next Saturday - and that's one no-one will surely miss if we win on Saturday. One things for sure - there's going to be more twists and turns than a twisty-turny thing before the season is out. -- SHB, 09:33:21 09/03/01 Fri
Not just your season SHB! 2-0 to the Lincoln.. I have to admit the CCFC "we only have to turn up to win" mentality is starting to p1ss me off as much as it does you! EVERY game should be treated as a six pointer at this stage of the season, whether it's against Chesterfield or Cheltenham.. -- The Cap'n, 10:48:08 12/03/01 Mon
Jez, last night was a good example... -- Tickle my Top, 09:28:36 08/03/01 Thu
It's a fair point , but it's still no excuse for some of the debacles this season tho. But what it does show is that if we can win in Stoke we can beat anyone in this division. I just hope Smudger's injury aint as serious as it appeared to be last night, as he showed how good he is. Also by all accounts O'Leary played the holding midfielder role I've been whittering on about for ages to perfection. With a bit of luck we may get another 1-0 charge going .... and I'm defo going on Saturday now!!! -- SHB, 11:01:07 08/03/01 Thu
A certain match report (!?!) has O Leary playing in a 3 centreback lineup with Price and Howard as wingbacks. Who is right ????? -- Jez, 12:51:33 08/03/01 Thu
Well as Smith and Bound were playing ...... -- SHB, 13:18:03 08/03/01 Thu
Whoops - misread what you said. I can only go on what the commentary and match reports have said. -- SHB, 14:15:50 08/03/01 Thu
Gotta keep the faith. Another win on Saturday and we're still in it. God I can't wait til Saturday now!!!! -- SHB, 22:36:07 07/03/01 Wed
