Members of the ethnic minorities are VERY rare in the valleys I would say but where they exist, they are generally very well integrated ! I have a friend whose family are originally from the Seychelles yet he's as typical a Valleyboy as anyone ! Friends of mine from school in Aberdare were chummy with the guys that ran the curry-house in the high street. More tolerant? Doubtful. While being sure it exists, I can't remember seeing or for that matter reading any reports of racially-motivated crimes in Swansea. The BNP issue is all related to hooliganism - Swansea gets perceived as having "boys", the BNP thinks "Hey, some thick tw@ts who'll buy into our spiteful bollox", they try to recruit and the whole thing has the potential to snowball. I don't think it will though - since the Welsh are very different in inherent personality makeup to the Cockneys at the sort of havens that these nasty social diseases find refuge e.g. Chelsea, Millwall etc.
