Subject: Oh and I should have added that things are most definately being done about this amongst the various SCFC supporters branches, both off- and on-line as some will be aware.
In reply to: Jez 's message, "Let's get a few things straight - yes, there is a problem but don't go blowing it out of proportion. What's all this guff about racist attacks not being a thing of the past in Swansea. Racist attacks are not a thing of the past but you are out of line implying that Swansea is some sort of Nazi den where a member of any ethnic minority need not feel relatively safe to walk the streets. Also, things ARE being done about it (cont'd)" on 13:17:03 20/03/01 Tue

  • There was an asian shopkeeper killed only last year in Swansea, motive being his race not cash or what have you, I seem to remember. I was asking if there was "tacit approval" not claimng that this was the case. Do you disagree that Swansea and/or the Valleys is/are less culturally/racially integrated than Cardiff? -- CB, 14:25:25 20/03/01 Tue
  • It was Neath I recall. Not Swansea. Bit like relating an incident in Newport to something in kairdiff no? As for more racially intergrated? Probably not, but that's not the issue. The issue is tolerance/abuse. I wouldnt say they were any worse, and if you ask me the cockneys are worse than everyone else put together and there's more immigrants here than anywhere else (but saying that they're more ignorant to everyone else than I've ever met before). -- SHB, 15:38:47 20/03/01 Tue
