Like a tree
Can't walk away
Roots
Running far too deep

But I can fall
In love
Did that already
With you

Standing there
Strong and tall
Very few winds
Bending me

Until a north gale
Brought you
Your beauty
Nearly blew me away

Gliding gracefully
Into these empty limbs
Held you tenderly

Like a great oak
Cradles baby birds
In mother's nest

Grown so much since then
Nurtured by your light
Hopes like giant branches
Soaring to the sky

Time someday
Will cut me down
Until then
I shall stand here

Always there for you
