I still don't see it, can you show me? :p

If I remember correctly, the student leaders were the ones who suggested the retreat from TianAnMen, but many students, most of them from other provinces, refused to go. The student leaders decided to stay with everyone else. Can you say that they were that aware of their personal safety? If they cared about their safety, they wouldn't have gone against the government in the first place.

The students were not the ones who forced the government to use military. In fact, the students were about to retreat from TianAnMen after JiaoZhiYang (not sure about the spelling) went to visit and spoke to them. However, the conservative side of government kicked JiaoZhiYang from his seat and decided to use military force. Behind the suppression was a hidden scene of political struggle. The government chose to use force on the students when it had alternatives.

And you are wrong about the student leaders turned the students into radicals. The students were frustrated about WuYiuBong's (spelling?) death and became irrational. The student leaders were elected in a later stage of the movement. They weren't leaders when the movement turned emotional. Also, the movement was not radical when you compare it with movements in other countries.
