This was a personal thing I did that had no bearing with the military at all. It was just for personal gratification and advancement on my resume for a civilian job one day.

I had to learn morse code! :> And yes... My grandfather was a merchant Marine and was a communications guy at the top of the tower on a ship. That was the first person they tried to take out so no one could call for help.
