I am also a founding member and very active supporter of a Nationwide group which does everything possible to insure people in the miliatary who hurt and mame and murder fellow gay military sevicemen get the maximum allowable sentance under the law for their homophobic hate crimes. This group I am involved with was originally started by a mother who lost her son to a gay bashing murder in the far east who beat him to death beyone recognition in a bathroom. Our efforts insured that this murderer will spend the rest of his homomphobic biggoted life in jail without parole. This gay bashing and abuse will stop and hate crime laws now being passed by congress will help in a major way to discourage this sickening side of our humanity from hurting gays and lesbians and others who are different .
