Author: fate_777 [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 01:19:00 09/22/00 Fri In reply to: Terry 's message, "The problem with most Civilians Today...." on 10:38:54 09/20/00 Wed couple things, I think people dont often realize what police, fire and paramedics do as well. firefighters are picky on who they help, they will help the methhead who blew up his house the same they will average joe citizen whos house is on fire, they will do it WITHOUT pay in some places and no one cares :( police from what I see are VERY underappreciated, everyone looks at the negative, never seeing the postive, police sacrifice holidays and such with family, as well as work nites and never see their kids or wives except couple days a week, and no one cares :( paramedics arent picky on who they treat, everyone gets treated the same, even the junkie that tried to spit on them but again no one cares :( my dad was in Vietnam, not because he wanted too but because he had too, fought for his country and did it without question, and for their sacrifice they got spit on and cursed out and told to go away :( these guys fought for their country, if people disagree with that take it on politicians NOT the soldiers, they didnt choose to fight a war our country didnt want to win.
