From an AP story on the news of Father Geoghan's death by strangulation in prison:

"He (the killer) tied Geoghan's hands behind his back with a T-shirt, then used the stretched-out socks, a pillow case and one of Geoghan's shoes to strangle him, Conte said. Druce did not use a razor he had with him, but may have intended to castrate the former priest, Conte said.

"Once he was alerted to the attack by an inmate, the guard on duty tried to get inside, but found the door was jammed. He called for help. By the time a nurse arrived to treat Geoghan, seven or eight minutes had passed, Conte said.

"Geoghan, 68, was taken to Leominster Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:17 p.m. An autopsy Monday showed that Geoghan died from strangulation and blunt chest trauma. He also had broken ribs and a punctured lung, Conte said.

"Conte has said Druce will be charged with murder once a grand jury is convened in September. Druce, who remains in isolation in the prison, has been cooperative with investigators, Conte said.

"Geoghan allegedly molested nearly 150 boys over three decades and became a symbol of the clergy sex abuse scandal that shook the foundations of the Catholic church. He was serving a nine- to 10-year sentence for assault and battery on a 10-year-old boy. He had been in protective custody since being transferred to Souza-Baranowski in April, officials said."

What a fitting end for a horrible beast who molested and terrified over 150 boys while the Catholic Church did nothing. It's too bad they don't have a necktie party for all of the goddamned Catholic leaders who allowed Geoghan and his ilk to continue in their wanton rampage of molestation for decades.

This just proves that Jesus doesn't exist. If Jesus existed, he would not allow a priest in his church, nay, dozens (maybe hundreds) of priests, to molest children while being protected by their superiors.

Smug Baptists will say, "Well the Catholics are a cult so of course Jesus isn't there to protect the kids."

Oh?

So if a kid isn't a Baptist, then Jesus won't protect them? And I assume that no Baptists have ever molested children?
Religion can be such a sickening thing.
