Gredy corporations and stupid Americans have given away a lot of jobs and wealth to the Chinese. The simple fix is to simply stop foreign trade with China when things become dire and move jobs back into America. Our Neocon Overlords realize that they have to have customers and Americans willing to live on credit cards are "responsible" debt slaves -- but only so long as they have jobs. \

The Neocon's characterizing Noth Korea as part of the "Axis of Evil" is a pretense. China will jump into anything we do in North Korea and that allows us to stop trade in order to "prevent China from profiting from American trade in order to protect the terrorist North Korean regime." This shit is all mapped out a long time in advance.

The second line of defense is isolationism, which allows us to withdraw from North Korea because of the fucked up precendent of Iraq. This allows China to take Japan and Taiwan, but who cares: The US will repudiate its huge debt to Japan and Taiwan. The people there who bought US Treasuries will lose the money they invested in US debt.
Also, the US will nationalize any private property in the US owned by the new communist citizens of a Chinese Japan and a Chinese Taiwan.

The US will not buy semiconductors, cars, plastic shit, or anything else from the new China. Our economy will boom as we cycle back in the jobs we had exported to keep inflation down via cheap goods from China.

China will be consumed with absorbing its new conquests and new fortunes in Japan and Taiwan and will bleed these countries of thier wealth and settle for a pennies-on-the-dollar UN brokered settlement of US debts. This will done in exchange for a peace treaty and non-nuclear prolifiration treaty with the US.

Mexico will become an annex of the US so that we have a bigger market for US goods. Mexico will also be used as a sop to offer China. Mexico will be a place China will be allowed to sell plastic shit into while the US fills it with Starbucks, Wal Marts, and Toys-R-Us stores.

I do no think it is black ahead. I rather think it is cynical and that the need of the super-rich for a customer base will protect the cream-of-the-crop sheep, namely the US consumer.

BTW, Croft, we agree totally on debt. Credit card debt is like putting a chain around your neck and allowing others to control your destiny.
