Geez, there wasn't a Gestapo style raid when Rush was found to have purchased 30,000 plus prescription pills. I went online to write letters and the Goose Creek PD website is down. I called the high school to leave a message for principal George McCrackin (x2130) and the phone rang and rang and rang.

IMO, the show of force demonstrates complete fear on the part of the police and the high school administrators. When in an American high school has there ever been a such a massive presumption of guilt, so many weapons drawn by police, and such a massive search? It is utterly astonishing, paranoid, and fascist. The principal and the Chief of Police need to be fired. Parents and students need to be filing waves of lawsuits and class action lawsuits to teach these paranoid thugs that you don't pull guns on kids, cuff them, and threaten them with dogs.

This is a police state and not a high school. It is a Stalinist GOP gulag that has no conception whatsoever of civil rights or the presumption of innocence built into American law. The principal assumed that because some students were guilty that all students needed to be intimidated, threatened, and searched. What a reactionary fuck. If this happened to my kids, I would assemble with other parents and not let the school board up for air until they fired him and the state decertified him. There is no way the principal and the Chief of Police should ever be allowed to have real power after this debacle.
