His earlier posts had me fooled!

Bob Somerby has been writing some very good stuff on Condi and the Niger problem here.

Hey, you guys. I went to California for the firs time last weekend. We are doing another analog classroom study and had a training session at the Newport Beach Four Seasons. This was definitely a richer drug company than the one that sent us to Philadelphia last year. I can certainly see why so many people like to live in Orange County (where the homeless are invisible!); the temperature is super great! My fellow Rater and I decided to walk the 3-4 miles to Balboa Island/Peninsula, and I swear the people who drove past us had heart attacks. We were obviously not joggers, you see. I wonder if the drivers thought we were homeless. The ones pulling out of gated communities as we lurched by prolly did, huh? But we needed the walk; I am utterly unused to superrich food three times a day. John, poor Site Co-ordinater, was stuck in meetings all afternoon.

He says he wishes we'd thought to ask if any of you Drunks were in visitin' distance. Were you? Who'd we miss? There ain't no way we'll ever afford to go out there again unless another drug co foots the bill, that's for sure!

I greatly regretted leaving my little camera in my robe pocket...Houssekeeping ignored our "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and washed it (They apologized with two more cameras and a bottle of champagne, which I gave to Keddi). It had my pictures of Rich Kitties...lounging on the low walls of the $1.5 million dollar cottages of Balboa, gazing out at the harbor and getting petted by Chrissie and me as we strolled by. They were otherwise nondescript, and Chrissie and I pondered what a difference a zip code makes in a cat's life.

I also pondered what a difference a dry fundie town makes when it comes to liquor prices! We spent a bunch at Beverages and More, where the selection was bigger and the prices lower than just about anywhere around here.

I perused the LA Times every day I was there, complements of the hotel. Boy, you guys and your re-cawl sound almost, but not quite, as crazy stupid as our Texas Repugs sendin' bounty hunters after our Texas Dems, who have again fled.
