One might ask if discussion on the Glenbrook hazing is appropriate on this baord, but I feel that since it touches on issues of mob mentality and blind obedience, other Drunks might be interested.

So if you have seen the tape, what disturbs you more, the senior girls smear shit on the junoir girls, or the fact that you never see the junior girls tackle one of the senior girls en masse, in the hopes that making an example of her will make the other back off.

Do they need to be accepted that badly? How many of them will we see in a few years on Sorority Life?

Well, at least the American public is getting a look at the behavior that spawned Columbine. What gets me are the parents of the hazers. Brittany (or Katelin, or whatever) is getting dropped by Stanford! She can't go to the prom! Her life is ruined! She might do jail time with the unwashed masses!

Well, nobody put a gun to her head and forced her to choke another girl with pig intestines. And you just know that if this happened in an inner city school, Fox News would be covering it round the clock.

If anything, that tape reminded me of junior high, in the Washington DC suburbs, straight out of Heathers, believe me. No hazing incidents to speak of (but then again video cameras were $6K back in 1987), but the same sadistic behavior by spoiled rich kids that gives socalism its perennial appeal...
