Subject: What music brings an immediate and visceral reaction from you?

I just heard Tom Waits' Coney Island Girl and am all choked up. Then it occurred to me that EVERY SINGLE time I hear Waits I cry, no matter what I'm doing, and no matter what the song is. Perhaps that's why I have not bought any of his CDs -- I don't think I could take it.

There's a neat little indy clip on the Ice Age DVD (yes, the kids' movie) called Bunny. Nick and I watched it over and over, and I cried. Tom Waits did the music.

Which artists cause fellow Drunks to react uncontrollably?

For me, there's some common and obvious ones, like Barber's Adagio. And you can make fun of me for it, but William's "Brachiosaurus Theme" from Jurassic Park TOTALLY gets me. And, of course, Mr. Waits. The Pastoral Symphony. Rhapsody In Blue.

Unfortunately, my total musical ignorance is beginning to show, so I'll stop. Please tell what sends you spinning, Drunks, so I can go out and buy it.
