You would think that after 13 years of surveillance, CIA Black Ops, and national stangulation, that SOMETHING would've been found. Perhaps there's nothing. Perhaps Saddam is nobody's fool and has stashed his gas and... nukes perhaps... in a secretly friendly neighbor waiting for the Invasion to show their true colors and catch half of our conventional combat power in a Mesopotamian Finger Trap.

What would be a Mesopotamian Finger Trap? Consider this hypothetical sequence, which I hope to Whatever doesn't happen!

*Cheney tells Dubya to get his nose out of his special Chinese Dragon Powder and pull a preplanned border incident like the Dachau concentration camp victims the Nazis dressed as Polish "Invaders" to pretext WWII.

*The Bombers fly, the Carriers launch strike after strike. U.S. and the token British forces plow through the Iraqi deserts, speeding with all haste to capture those oil fields intact-

*-Ooops! U.S. SpecOps were a little too slow or delayed and the oil wellheads, pipelines, and refineries burn.

*Chinese product improved Sunburn anti-carrier missiles(nap-of-the-earth, supersonic, unpredictable course, nuclear tipped, perhaps) give our mighty Nimitz Class Carriers three seconds of time to detect, lock and engage. Most of our Navy now irradiates the waters of the Persian Gulf, Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean.

*Our boys and girls capture some oil fields and make it to the outskirts of the cities. Iraqis cant shoot or fight for shit but are actually putting up a fight. Chemical Weapons are unleashed and having to suit up in stuffy, baggy chemsuits bogs the advance down. If Saddam or sympathetic Al Quaeda/whoever possess nukes other than on the Sunburn missiles they use them on our people and perhaps Israel.

*Israel goes postal on the Islamic World, unleashing Bush's Tim LaHaye apocalyptic masturbatory fantasy. He covers his bunker walls with ejaculation at the fulfillment of bahbul profici! jeesus dun be a kumin now n pikkur's famus kuzin git a redie to be wit dei lowrd.

*The Chinese prompt their stooge in Pyongyang to launch a ICBM at L.A., vaporizing SM78, Queer, Lady Serpent, and the rest of the West Coast DB contingent. North Korea swamps Seoul and the South Korean defenses. U.S. Bombers and Cruise missiles fly to annihilate Kim Jong Il as...

*With most of the United States Military is engaged with the Middle East and Korea, China conquers Taiwan, reunifying their empire and opening the greater Pacific.

*Europe and OPEC make a deal-they'll swap euros instead of dollars for oil. All the megatrillions we spread out and compartmentalize to make the dollar strong at the same time in exchange for the world's goods and oil-sent back to our shores after being used as toilet paper.

*Between the forced repatriation of now shitty USD, the annihilation of America's conventional forces, and the perhaps Cheney ordered Reichstag-style sabotage and destruction of homeland targets, the economy collapses. Martial Law is declared. Food, gas, ammunition, and other essentials dissapear from shelves. Nearly the entire working force is layed off or otherwise fired. In a couple of months millions of cars are repo'd-many repo men are shot by distraught american sheep with guns. In six months, radiation and biological sickness weaken millions, and mass starvation from a inability to gas the semis and trains hits most of the country. Mass food and race riots take place. Millions of others seek refuge in the kuntry-and just wind up starving or enslaved in a brutal sharecropping measure as manual labor. Millions of those die from overexertion and exhaustion as their pork rind and beer eating carcasses are unconditioned for hard labor.

*The rest of the world demands euros or commodities/precious metals for vital oil. The dollar finds new uses as campfire kindling and toilet paper and is otherwise worthless. Bush suffers a busted blood vessel in the brain, sparing him from the righteous wrath of the world. Meanwhile, Dick Cheney decides he will not trade euros or commodities or even weapons for oil-unless he's launching them at our former friends and allies. Eventually he suffers a heart attack and some euro footlicking toady takes over and the US goes back two centuries to becoming a economic resource colony of Europe and Asia. Every militia paranoid fantasy becomes a brutal reality and America in the coming years and centuries will be spoken of as Rome and Atlantis is now.

And yet... There's no way now for America to pull back from this suicidal adventure. The war talk and all those dicks hard over Iraqi oil are the only things keeping the economy from melting down on it's own and bringing about a holocaust barely less catastrophic from what I just typed. The rest of the world may show some mercy and do a graudated withdrawal from the dollar standard giving us a "softer landing" and a "somewhat reduced status" among the global community.

In any event, prepare for massive inflation, violence, and deprivation. Whether Saddam has nukes and poison gas is irrelevant. I'll list some resources for reference.
