When Mikey asks Harm for relationship advice, Harm gave him the advice that *he, himself* needed to follow. Maybe that is what convinced him to make the first bold step in openly stating his feelings.

That is the ONLY way I can justify Mikey's presence in the ep.

And it does have a nice parallel to Mac's previous conversation with Cammie about the importance of love.
