Subject: Okay, time for the full circle analysis and the parallels. . .Inside

1. Don't skip the Parris Island story so fast. It was the parallel to Harm. The kid lost his father. His mother didn't want to talk about him. The kid wanted to emulate his father prematurely. The kid had to learn that he needed to live his own life first. Even the CO knew the kid's father. Remember "A New Life" ? Both the Captain and the CAG knew Hammer. It was the send off....this was the end of JAG. The kid needed some time with a counselor so that he doesn't spend ten years fighting his ghosts in the swamp land of his thwarted relationships.

2. Some will disagree with me, but there's a reason Mac didn't need to answer. This show was about Harm. It was his journey. The salient point is that Harm got to the point where he could let go. He made the commitment. He said the words. He's at the end of the relationship journey in that he knew whom he wanted and he told her. That's huge. In some ways, it's more poignant that Mac didn't say the words, because she always said the words to other men. She didn't need to say the words to grasp at the relationship, trying to make it work. She knew it would. It was more important that she showed Harm. Judging by that smile, I'd say she got that point across too.

3. Bud stands on his own. Well, I disagree with Harriet and her reasons, but the point is that Bud no longer needs Harm.

4. I know we can all agree that the show could have ended without one single person saying, "Gee, I wonder whatever happened between Cammie and Mike!".

So fast forward to a TV movie. Captain Harm is looking good in London. Mac looks chic in her woolens from Harrods. Together, they solve the crime of the murdered young Ensign Mike Roberts. Harriet confides to Mac that Bud has been having an affair with the therapist she wouldn't let him leave at Bethesda. Harriet begs Harm to request Bud for a transfer to London to save their marriage. AJ terrorizes the London Bobbies. Harm and Mac live in a lovely apartment and have passionate HMS by firelight morning, noon, and night. The End.
