In reply to: JAG Junkie 's message, "Why the "rushed" ending worked for me . . .Inside" on 23:37:18 05/07/05 Sat

I agree completely. And I think the shock of the sudden affection/proposal/I love you scene actually added to the enjoyment of it for me. I didn't want to see a nice comfortable relationship as much as I wanted to see the fiery explosion of passion and promises that we saw between them. *SIGH* I'll never get over it. Wonderful analysis and I agree. After 9 years they didn’t needs weeks they just needed to finally let go and they did in a most amazing way. I look forward to a new fanfic from you the post finale one you wrote was great. (NT) -- Hope, 17:06:22 05/01/05 Sun

Totally agree with what you said (NT) -- BooBoo, 17:41:07 05/01/05 Sun

WOW, JAG Junkie!!! WONDERFUL analysis!! :):) That was what I thought, but you expressed 1000 times better :)!! Indeed, the bond between Harm and Mac is stronger than many married couples. A quick proposal is appropriate.... As for Mac did not say the words.... (hee heee... She has to reserve something during HMS...... evil smile here ;)!! (NT) -- Acer, 17:49:36 05/01/05 Sun

Excellent thoughts. thank you and I agree with you. (NT) --navybrat (barb), 17:57:41 05/01/05 Sun

Perfect analysis! I was happy on Friday but feeling disappointment that we got only 7-1/2 minutes to resolve 9 years. Today, I've progressed to post Jag letdown. I'm sad the show is over and I'll never see HAE and MAE as Harm & Mac again. Then I read your post and it is helping me move on to the next stage…which is acceptance, I guess. (NT) -- Cherie, 18:54:34 05/01/05 Sun

You put my thoughts perfectly into words! ITA 100%!! (NT) -- DJEgirl, 19:34:05 05/01/05 Sun

Oh JAG Junkie, you have expressed it perfectly! I too, have spent hours going over each part of the ep and finding all the things that made me feel REALLY good about what we got. I can now imagine a beautiful life together for them and cna hopefully let my "shipper heart" sloww down a bit. HAE and MAE were incredible in those scenes! I cannot imagine any one else, EVER for those two roles! (NT) -- can j, 16:57:14 05/01/05 Sun

please excuse typos - am still somewhat on a high - at least that is my excuse and I am sticking to it. (NT) -- can j, 16:59:11 05/01/05 Sun

Well stated fellow Floridian! (NT) -- FJN, 17:01:20 05/01/05 Sun

ITA , at first I thought Mac needed to say something but weeks ago when I knew the end was coming I couldn't for the life of me figure out how she would tell Harm and have it be different than what we heard her say to D/M/W. This way with the freudian slip, was just right. (NT) -- Samgiz, 17:03:04 05/01/05 Sun

JAG Junkie, thanks for the great analyzes. What is your take on the sequence of questions and answers relating to all the men in Mac’s life before their kiss in Harm’s apartment? What did Harm want to know?(NT)---- Sunset, 17:39:09 05/01/05 Sun

Gee, that is the ONE part of the ending I DIDN'T analyze! So here goes: Mac was saying that she didnt know why it never worked out. Harm was probably still unsure of everything because he had just told her how much she meant to him and she was still holding back, putting up walls, etc. I guess he thought that by asking her what attracted her to them, he/they could figure out where they went wrong. Or another way to look at it would be to remember that she was attracted to those men and none of those relationships had worked out. Maybe he was trying to point out to her that whatever it was that attracted her was not enough to build the relationship on and make it work.(NT)-- JAG Junkie, 20:08:12 05/01/05 Sun

I like your thinking. It really makes sense. Did you write the script? (NT) -- Sunset, 21:05:18 05/01/05 Sun

LOLOL! I wish! I can promise that if I had written it, we would have had more than 7 1/2 minutes! And I DEFINITELY would have chucked the Parris Island story and added more flashbacks. (NT) -- JAG Junkie, 21:29:50 05/01/05 Sun

Great analysis and ofcourse in a way we feel robbed off by the courtship, wedding and HMS but to rehash what I said Im *very*thankful that we got this happy Harm and Mac ending than nada at all. This is also so Harmon Rabb because to me he's not the mushy syrupy type. But boy when he lets go he really lets go.LOL! (NT) -- Rena, 17:46:14 05/01/05 Sun

Why the rushed ending worked for me.....I agree with what all of you said about the ending and don't you guys think that a lot of couples get married and then spend the next 8-9-10-years going through a lot of turmoil. I think that H'M have done that and their relationship will now be solid. The ending was great....Jeannie (NT) -- Jeannie, 18:02:17 05/01/05 Sun

If you look at the flashbacks - as describe in another thread, it reviews their whole 9 year courtship with all of its ups downs and missteps (NT) -- Sharon, 18:38:21 05/01/05 Sun
