Of course they did it, they were still hot and heavy when the camera faded to black. I was wondering the same thing about the time frame, and I noticed that it was light outside when Mac was standing at the window thinking of him, I assume she went directly to his apartment from hers, and it was well dark by the time he arrived at McMurphy's.
