Subject: The nature of love. . .Inside
In reply to: ~~ 's message, "season ten, series finale: Fair Winds and Following Seas, April 29, 2005" on 15:23:11 04/28/05 Thu

I was just emailing with a new cyber friend and a thought came to me. Wouldn't it have been much more effective if both Harm and Mac offered to resign their commission for the sake of the other? Isn't that the nature of love, to be unselfish? I know I would give up anything to make my husband happy and he would do the same, but we wouldn't let each other give up what makes us happy. Does this make sense? Anyway....the coin toss would have had so much more meaning if it was to see who GOT to resign their commission instead of who HAD to.

One more question....What did the conversation in the bar mean? Why did Mac's answers to the bartender's questions seem so unsure and yet they had already told Bud and Harriet they were engaged and made the announcement to everyone else? Am I misunderstanding something?
