Ember Tears

Smoke halos incinerated ground
Imprisoned spirits tightly bound
No such escape for tortured souls
Held captive by fusion's control
Mushroom cloud of purest evil
Witness to humanities upheaval
All lies charred by fiery wave
Not but ashes for their grave
Obliterated beyond recognition
Blasted into swift submission
Mile upon mile of devastation
Utter destruction of a nation
As dust clouds begin to wane
Brighter droplets begin to rain
Falling fiery beads that sears
Lingering spirit's ember tears
Pray history does not repeat
Never to live again this feat
