Anchor

Many friends stood behind me
When I was in trouble or in need
Giving me guidance and stability
And held me when I wouldn't heed

Like anchors they stood their ground
Till I saw "Light" they stayed my way
With gentle touch and wisdom sound
They helped keep sins at bay

It wasn't a simple task to sow
For passions rise strong in me
It took great strength I know
For them not to set me free

I now know what made them strong
In their efforts to keep me from harm
How could they hold me for so long?
They were anchored in God's loving arms!!
