*"Be careful and listen to Mikki" Saddle calls to all the kids as they head out on the trails, "and Mikki, don't be out too long. you still need to ride HC, too." "Ok, Mom" they all call and head out. after the trail widens Mikki signals them all to trot. they trot for awhile before Hannah asks, "Can we gallop?" "No, Michelle can't gallop yet and Maggie is too big to gallop Bailey, maybe next time" Mikki replies. "So, why don't you stay back here with them and Jessie and I can gallop a little?" She whines." "Not on your life. Rose is bad at the canter in the ring still, how can you expect her to gallop out of the ring with another horse galloping with her?" Mikki tells her. "Then i'll go alone!" Hannah says angrily. "No, you need to stay with the rest of us, you know what mom said" Mikki replies. "fine!" Hannah exclaims and trots Dun to the back of the line. Mikki raises his hand and they all slow to a walk and cross the meadow slowly. Hannah forces Heaven to lag behind, then canters to catch up. Rose is suprised by the pony cantering up behind her and shies then tries to take off, running into Bailey who takes off and swerves to narrowly miss running into Barnum. Maggie flies over his shoulder as he spins and takes off riderless Barnum shies away from Bailey and almost steps on Maggie. Hannah takes off at a gallop, trying to catch Bailey. Heaven steps in a hole and falls to his knees and Hannah barely stays on. he breaks into a trot, limping badly. Hannah vaults off, throws his reins at Mikki and starts to run after Bailey. "Bailey, Whoa!" she calls to him. he slides to a stop and turns around. "Come here, good pony" she calls to him as he starts to walk to her. finally he is close enough that she can reach his reins. scratching his neck with one hand, she grabs his reins. startled he tries to pull back but she holds on and he stops struggling after a minute. then she leads him back to the other horses. Maggie is gingerly testing all her fingers and toes and Mikki has Jessie holding both Rose and Heaven while he checks Heaven's legs. "I don't feel any breaks, your really lucky. what were you thinking, letting him run like that across the field. you know theres holes once you wander off the trails! and why were you cantering, you caused this whole mess. you had no reason to canter, Heaven can keep up with the group no problem. Heaven is hurt now and so is Maggie. it looks like she sprained her wrist and i'll bet Heaven has a really bad sprain or a pulled tendon." Mikki yells at Hannah. then he takes off his shirt and picks up 2 sticks to make a temporary splint for Heaven's leg. "Now you get to walk him back home and pray that leg isn't broken, i splinted it just in case but its going to be a long walk home for you anyway" he says, handing her Heaven's reins. then he helps Maggie and Jessie back into their saddles, runs a lead through Bailey's bit so Maggie wouldn't have to steer him and they start back to the farm slowly. when they finally get there Saddle runs out to meet them. "What happened!!!?" She exclaims. "Later, mom, i think you need to take Maggie to get her wrist x-rayed and Heaven is going to need some x-rays too. Hannah will explain later" Mikki says. "Ok, Hannah, go call the vet, Jessie, please untack Bailey and i'm taking Maggie to the emergency room right away." saddle says after taking a look at Maggie's wrist. Hannah puts Heaven in cross-ties and runs to call the vet. Michelle clings to Mikki as he untacks Dun and helps her untack Barnum. Jessie hurries to untack Bailey and Rose. finally they hear the vet's truck coming up the driveway. Hannah runs to meet him and help him carry down all his equipment. He looks over Heaven and then takes the x-rays and devolops them. "No breaks but its a bad sprain" he says finally. "Put Ice on that leg for 30 minutes every 2 hours and keep it wrapped for support. keep him on complete stall rest for at least 2 weeks, then i'll come look at him again. he should heal completely with a good amount of recovery time" he says, writing a bill and handing it to Hannah. she puts the bill on Saddle's desk in the office and then leads Heaven to his stall slowly and puts him on cross ties in his stall with an ice boot attached to his leg. then she looks at her watch and realizes its feeding time. she helps Mikki bring in all the horses. finally Saddle and Maggie return. Maggie's wrist in in a cast and Saddle looks furious. they all get into the truck and head up to the house. "Ok, Hannah. what happened out there?" Saddle asks angrily after helping Maggie change out of her barn clothes into a t-shirt and pair of shorts. Hannah tells the whole story softly. "Well then Hannah, you will be paying for all of Heaven's vet bills and Maggie's hospital bills out of your allowance and after the clinic you are officially grounded" Saddle says. "You can not ride any of the horses, go out with friends, talk on the phone or go online for 3 weeks" Saddle tells her. "3 whole weeks?" Hannah whines "I'll die if i can't ride for 3 weeks!" "Well. Maggie won't be riding for at least 4 weeks so i don't see what your complaining about" Saddle tells her "You can go to your room now" Hannah stomps up the stairs and slams her door.*

(lol, can you tell i'm bored, i think i wrote a novel)
