*the two year old rushes down the isle, Saddle telling her to walk all the way. the small girl pauses a moment to peer in at the thoroughbred mare and her almost 6 month old foal. she smiles and giggles as the filly stretches her head over the stall guard and nibbles at her hair and gently pulls her hair out of the horses mouth with a firm "no" she was a natural with horses and seemed to know exactly what to do instinctivly. then she heads down the isle full speed again, heading to her two ponies stalls. she enter's Barnums stall with a lead rope in her small hands and carefully clips it to his halter and leads him into the isle carefully. then she takes a brush from the tack room and goes over him with it quickly. the tiny black pony stands still as a statue as the little girl grooms him. the Saddle picks out his feet for her and helps her tack the small pony up. she shows the small girl how to lead the pony to the ring and picks up a lounge line on the way out. once in the ring she makes sure Michelle's helmet is fastened tightly enough and helps her mount the pony. she sits tall and pushes her heels down instantly and waits for Saddle to tell her what to do. Saddle tells her to ask the pony for a walk and she lightly touches his sides with her small legs. then she tells him to walk firmly and sits carefully in the saddle. after awhile Saddle can clearly see that the girl is comfortable at the walk and she tells her to ask the pony for a jog. her small legs kick the pony's sides and he instantly moves into a jog. she sits bouncing in the saddle. "bouncy" she comments, laughing. she seems very comfortable so Saddle asks her if she knows how to canter. "i did...one time" the little girl says "but i wanna canter again!" Saddle explains how to ask the pony to canter and flicks the lounge whip at the pony when he refuses to move. he breaks into a slow canter and Michelle smiles. she grabs the saddle horn with both hands, only lightly grasping the reins and Saddle slows the pony to a walk again and repeats the same excersises in the other direction, leaving out the canter this time. then she helps the little girl untack the pony and turn him out before helping her get Bailey ready. she does the same thing with Bailey and soon finds he has a much nicer trot then Barnum. when she's done she turns the other pony out with his companion and learns how to clean a saddle*
