Mel had only jumped a few fences at a canter, so it was no biggy. "Thanks for letting me ride him mom," she said, dismounting. Then she told her mom about Bogsdan having to throw her up on the huge gelding. Laughing, they led the horses to the barn. Melanie bathed & groomed the Thoroughbred, then put him up. Then she set about cleaning tack and mucking stalls until evening when the horses were brought in.
"Let's go on a cross country ride tomorrow," Melanie said to Bogsdan and Stephanie as they relaxed on a haybale, sipping cokes. "I can ride Princess." "How high?" Stephanie asked. "The 3 foot course," Melanie replied. "Ok, I'll see you at 9?" "Sure!"
